Von Braun signs the front free endpaper in black felt-tip, above the signature of his co-author and close friend, Frederick I. Ordway III. Book is actually Ordway III's personal copy, with his book plate affixed to front pastedown. Von Braun and Ordway III wrote several rocketry books together, another being ''History of Rocketry & Space Travel''. Bound in publisher's red and maroon cloth boards, book measures 5.75'' x 8.5''. Housed in original dust jacket showing price of $9.95. Minor chipping to jacket, in very good plus condition. Book is near fine.
