Vintage cast bronze paperweight of Leo the Lion, the famous MGM mascot, circa 1930s reportedly given to executives and theater owners. The roaring lion rests on a base that reads on each side, ''Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Lion / The Greatest Star on the Screen'', with manufacturing stamp of A.C. Rehberger Co. of Chicago on side. Base measures 4.5'' x 2.5'' x 3.375 tall. Light wear and patina, in very good to near fine condition. A recent example of this paperweight sold at Heritage Auctions in July 2021 for $2,375.
