U.S. flag flown to the moon on the Apollo 17 mission in December 1972. Flag is affixed to a NASA certificate to Richard Benson, Jr. reading, ''This flag was carried to the Moon aboard the spaceship America Apollo XVII December 7-19, 1972''. Flag measures 5.75'' x 4.25'' and certificate measures 14'' x 11''. Certificate is mounted to board. Overall in very good condition with some toning to certificate and chipping along top. Flag is near fine. Rare U.S. flag from America's last lunar mission.
