Royal portable electric typewriter owned by the Kennedy family. The tan Medallion II typewriter and brown carrying case was used in what was called the Winter White House in Palm Beach, Florida, a house owned by Joseph and Rose Kennedy, and used extensively by JFK both during and before his Presidency; he wrote ''Profiles in Courage'' and his inaugural address there, and hosted meetings as President. Typewriter was made in 1977 and was therefore possibly used by Jackie Kennedy and other members of the Kennedy family. Measures 14.5'' x 19'' x 4.5''. Weighs 27 lbs. alone and 35 lbs. 8 oz. inside case. Typewriter is in working condition with minor wear from use, overall very good condition.
