Thomas Edison autograph letter signed with intriguing content regarding experimenting with a ''rough'' apparatus and falling short of funds. Dated only 6 September, Edison writes to a Mr. Miller, in part, ''...I had previously been experimenting with a rather rough kind of apparatus & started some time ago to make a complete set, as I have only 2 men, and not much money. It goes slow - / yours / Edison''. Miller's pencil notes appear at bottom. Single page with Western Union stamp on verso measures 7.875'' x 9.75'', encapsulated by PSA/DNA to a size of 9.75'' x 13.25''. Folds and minor paper loss at top left, overall in very good condition.
