Theodore Roosevelt signed limited edition of ''Big Game Hunting in the Rockies and on the Great Plains''. New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1899. Number 236 of 1,000 in the limited edition, volume is elegantly signed by Roosevelt in black fountain pen on his frontispiece portrait, wearing his Rough Rider uniform. This volume combines two previous Roosevelt books, ''Hunting Trips of a Ranchman'' and ''The Wilderness Hunter'', measuring 8.75'' x 11.25'' in publisher's half-calf, with gilt lettering and marbled endpapers. Full of tissue-guarded photographs and illustrations by Frederic Remington, A.B. Frost, and J. Carter Beard. Some dampstaining to page edges, not affecting signed portrait. Boards and the first few pages are detached, with spine also absent. Good condition with signed portrait remaining near fine.
