Slavery bill of sale for a 12-year old boy purchased on 28 June 1847 in Savannah, Georgia. Disturbing receipt describes the boy, purchased for $487.50 as ''A negro boy 'Boby' aged about Twelve Years of age.'' A note on the verso states that Boby passed away four years later. Partly printed document measures 7.875'' x 12.375''. Folds and light wear. Not examined out of frame, appears in very good condition.
