Original silk campaign flag from William McKinley's successful 1896 presidential campaign, featuring a bust portrait of McKinley over his campaign slogan, ''Patriotism, Protection & Prosperity''. McKinley would be assassinated shortly into his second term, with Theodore Roosevelt ascending to the Presidency as McKinley's VP. Flag displays beautifully with still bright navy blue color contrasted by off-white. Measures approximately 18'' x 11''. Light foxing and some fraying to edges, most notably a 3'' closed split at mid-left. Very good condition.
