Twenty-seven pages of original ''Sugar and Spike'' comic art hand-drawn by creator Sheldon Mayer, from the August 1958 issue #17, debuting Sugar and Spike's nemesis, the slightly older child Arthur who has outgrown baby talk. Pages include the stories ''Meet Little Arthur'' (6 pages complete), untitled page showing Sugar and Spike watching a Three Mousketeers cartoon (1 page complete), ''Aunt Minerva Strikes Again!'' (6 pages complete), ''At the Beach'' (1 page complete), ''Pint-Size Pin-Ups'' (2 pages complete), ''Water Babies'' (4 pages complete), ''Write Your Own Comic Page!!'' (1 page complete), and ''Temptation and the Table's Apron!'' (6 pages complete). An additional copied page for ''Hey! Look at Our Mail!'' is also included. Large pages of original artwork by Mayer each measure approximately 12.5'' x 19.5'' on thick illustration paper, with Mayer's stamp to verso. Also with DC Comics header at top of most pages, and signed or initialed by Mayer throughout. Light wear, and discoloration to top edge of a few pages; overall in very good plus condition.
