Ruth Bader Ginsburg autograph note signed, dated August 1994 on Ginsburg's personal U.S. Supreme Court embossed card. In blue ballpoint the Justice writes, ''For Matthew Curran / Cheers on becoming a citizen, and appreciation for the special attention you paid to James when he was very young, Ruth Bader Ginsburg''. The recipient, Matthew Curran, was the doorman at the Imperial House in New York where Ginsburg lived when she taught at Columbia Law School. Curran had emigrated from Ireland to the United States at the age of 22 and ultimately became a U.S. citizen. Card measures 5'' x 3.5'', complete with embossed envelope measuring 5.125'' x 3.625''. Near fine condition.
