Rare large-format Royal Air Force lithograph poster, designed to train World War I pilots the basics of flight. With the Wright Brothers having only completed their public airshows a decade earlier, a mastery of aviation - let along combat flying, was uncharted territory. Poster entitled ''Good and Bad Looping'' shows various British aircraft looping in the air, one producing a perfect loop, and the other two lopsided loops. Published by Air Technical Services, dated 3 August 1918. With Air Ministry and Royal Air Force stamps on verso. Two-tone lithograph measures 40'' x 27''. Light wear, and a few closed tears confined to margins. Overall very good plus condition.
