President Richard Nixon signed first edition, first printing of his political tome ''The Real War'' published by Warner Books: New York: 1980. The former President signs ''Richard Nixon'' on the half-title page in blue fine-point felt tip. Authored by Nixon five years after his resignation, he writes that World War III between the U.S. and the Soviet Union has begun: ''We are at war.'' Runs 341pp. and measures 6.25'' x 9.5''. Bound in red cloth boards with silver lettering. Includes original unclipped dust jacket with $12.50 price intact. Pencil notation ''signed 100'' to front free endpaper, else fine condition. Faint creasing to top edge of jacket, near fine.
