Richard Nixon typed Presidential resignation, dated 9 August 1974. Letter reads in full, ''Dear Mr. Secretary: I hereby resign the Office of the President of the United States.'' Boldly signed ''Richard Nixon'' at the conclusion in black felt tip. Single page letter measures 5.25'' x 8.'' Very faint fingerprint mark near the right edge a good deal below center, else fine. As the only Presidential resignation in American History, these highly sought-after souvenir letters are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
