Ray Bradbury original typed poem featuring notations and corrections in his hand. Poem's title appears in Bradbury's name, ''Melville / A Requiem + A Warning!'' It reads in part, ''...Where creeks electric flow which drunk through hand or foot / Give fire to blood and swiftly purge / A charge of grandeur through the ganglion, casue rains / Of stars to surge and superlight the brain. / But you, in sad reverse / Put by the royal seatide ships / To lodge in hearse / Such cabs as drag their dead through all the streets / While common emperor men sail forth in fleets / Their burdens lightly shouldered by the waves / While Melville broods and dims himself in caves...'' Housed in a file folder bearing the title and date of 1975. Runs 4pp. on 3 sheets. Measures 8.5'' x 11''. Creasing to upper left of one of the delicate sheets and mild buckling to the bottoms. Near fine overall. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
