Invitation to the first anniversary celebration of Queen Victoria's coronation, signed "Victoria RI" as reigning monarch. Royal festivities were held in Westminster Abbey on 28 June 1838, one year after Victoria ascended the throne upon the death of William IV in 1837. Invitation is specially addressed to "Our dearly beloved Aunt / The Duchess of Gloucester". Single-page invitation measures approximately 9" x 12". Creasing, else fine in remarkably well-preserved condition. Invitations signed by the Queen herself are very rare.
