First generation photograph of John F. Kennedy, Jr. saluting his father's horse-drawn flag-draped casket. Verso of photo is stamped, ''This Picture May Not Be Published'' and ''Star Staff Photo by Francis Routt''. Routt was a ''Washington Star'' photographer who took this touching image on 25 November 1963 after leaving the Funeral Mass at Washington's Saint Matthew's Cathedral. Incredibly rare, as the image is presumed the only shot of three-year-old JFK, Jr. saluting his dead father and additionally showing the flag-draped casket. Black and white photo measures 10'' x 8'' with minor toning and scratching in a few spots, else very good.
