Autograph postcard signed by Carl Jung, whose pioneering work in psychoanalysis and mythology has greatly influenced the fields of literature, anthropology, religious studies, psychology and psychiatry. Jung writes to his mentee, psychoanalyst Dr. Rivkah Scharf Kluger, on a card postmarked 22 November 1944 from Zurich. Translated from German, Jung writes in full: ''Dear Miss! / Thank you very much for the translation of 'aestphara.' Apparently, Dornens [sic] also considered it to be Arabic. Corruptio and vermes do fit well together, after all. I would be pleased to see you here on Wednesday, the 27th of September, at 5 o'clock in the evening. Thank you also for offering your help. I currently do not have any long writing that I would need to dictate. / Kind regards, / Your devoted / C.G. Jung''. Postcard measures 4.125'' x 5.875''. Uniform toning, else near fine condition with bold handwriting.
