Original ''Apollo Operations Handbook'' for Apollo 12's Lunar Module, Volume I containing all Subsystems Data and considered the ''Bible'' for the LM-6 ''Intrepid''. Very large manual by Grumman is dated 15 September 1969 and measures 8'' x 10.5'' x 2.25'' thick, spanning several hundred pages with multiple pull-out diagrams, illustrations and schematics. Identified as ''LMA790-3-LM'' throughout, manual covers all aspects of the Lunar Module ''Intrepid'' including its Ascent and Descent stages, Navigation, Propulsion, Communications, Power Sources, Lighting, Instrumentation, Crew Personal Equipment and even its Explosive Devices. Handbook comes directly from the estate of Robert M. Mercer, a NASA Houston employee who worked on the Apollo space program. Manual is five-hole punched, bound with cord, and complete with all pages. ''APST 7'' is written in pencil to front cover. Very good condition. Extremely rare. Accompanied by a June 1971 guidebook, ''On the Moon With Apollo 15'', also belonging to Robert Mercer with his name written on front cover.
