Original Hal Foster lot of preliminary artwork for the ''Prince Valiant'' comic strip, #1982 in the series. Set of two pencil sketches were for the strip published on 2 February 1975, hand-drawn by Foster as the strip transitioned from Foster to John Cullen Murphy. In addition to the sketch for the strip, Foster also sketches another character on a separate sheet. A typed story outline, and separate typed story narration are also included. Four sheets each measure 8.5'' x 11''. Three hole punch, light soiling, and paperclip impression at top, overall in very good condition. From the John Cullen Murphy estate.
