Olympic relay torch from the 1984 Summer Olympic games in Los Angeles. Torch was made by Turner Industries and features a tan leather handle over brass-finished aluminum. The Los Angles Coliseum is featured on the bowl, with the words ''Citius, Altius, Fortius'', the motto of the Olympic games. Band at mid-section reads, ''Games of the / XXIIIrd Olympiad / Los Angeles 1984''. Torch measures 22.125'' long and 4.875'' in diameter at top. Lacking burner. A small screw part is taped to an ''Operating and Safety Instructions'' booklet that accompanies. Also includes original black vinyl carrying case, the book ''One With the Flame'' signed by the jacket photographer and photo editor, and wooden display case made by AT&T. Hinged door on display case is broken. Torch itself has some light wear, overall near fine condition.
