Nice 1951 All-Star plaque awarded to New York Giants pitcher Larry Jansen as he was selected to the team. The midsummer classic game was played on 10 July 1951 between the all-stars of the American League and National League, resulting in a National league win of 8-3. Plaque reads: ''All-Star Award National League to Larry Jansen in Token of His Selection To Baseball's All-Star Team For 1951''. Engraved ''Ford C. Frick'' signature at bottom right. Metal plaque is elegantly mounted to a thick piece of cherry-colored wood that measures 8.5'' x 7'', with a delicate chain mounted to the top for wall hanging. A few minor nicks and dents to plaque and wood, else near fine.
