Napoleon Bonaparte letter signed as Emperor of France. From St. Cloud on 16 August 1806, Napoleon writes in French to his stepson Prince Eugene de Beauharnais, telling him that if General Jacques Lauriston takes as his aide de camp a battalion commander, this officer would be replaced in his corps. Boldly signed ''Napoleon''. Visible portion of letter measures 7.25'' x 8.5'', matted and framed with an engraving of Napoleon to a size of 17.5'' x 12.375''. Not examined out of frame. Heavy foxing to engraving. Shallow folds to letter, with some foxing and toning. Very good condition.
