NASA report on Mercury-Atlas 8, titled ''The Six Orbits of Sigma 7 / Walter M. Schirra's Space Flight / October 3, 1962''. Washington, DC: U.S. Government Printing Office, 1963. At the time, MA-8 was the longest U.S. crewed orbital flight, lasting over 9 hours. Report is filled with promotional photos of the mission, the Mercury 7 astronauts, and several of Schirra water skiing, with his family, and with President John F. Kennedy. Runs approximately 44pp. and measures 11'' x 8''. Mild toning and discoloration, else near fine.
