Moe Howard handwritten poem to his wife Helen, signed ''Your Beansie'', composed in a Valentine given to her in February 1938. The Valentine card was originally given to Moe from Helen in 1922, and Moe saved it and gave it back to her 16 years later, complete with dried rose attached. Poem reads,
''To My Sweetheart
Sixteen Years ago you said --
'Because I love you so'
Sixteen years have gone and fled
But still our love does grow
I now return your card my sweet
Another 'sweetheart day' to greet --
So cherish it and then some day
When we are both quite stooped and gray
You'll send it back to let me know
It is because I love you so - Your Beansie''.
Card measures 4.75'' x 5.75''. Abrasion to front and split along fold, otherwise very good condition.
