I Tried!
I tried so hard to see you
If only in a dream,
But I just couldn't contact you
It wasn't in lifes scheme!
I tried and tried to visualize
My beloved out of sight,
But Morpheus would tantalize
And say 'No sleep tonight'.
I tried to fool him, and I did,
I day dreamed all day long
He thought in sleep alone you hid,
He'd forgotten 'bout a song!
I tried recalling songs sublime
In one you'd hidden be,
I found our 'M-I-N-E, Mine,
From it, you came to me!
Your Beans"
