"I Want
I want the love of my honey
Forever and a day
I want to see her bright and sunny
In each and every way
I want good health for her ever
For Mother and those I hold dear.
My beansie is oh so clever
I want her always near.
I want to feel her soft, warm arms
Clasped tight around my neck
I want around me all her charms.
I love her so. By Heck!
I want to feel her wonderous lips
Pressed oh so tight to mine
I want to take a million sips
From lips that taste like wine
I want to see her eyes so brown
They're always nice and shiny
They just whirl my brain upside down
They are so cute and tiny.
I want her limbs so shapely too
So often talked about
I want to hear her bill and coo
I love to see her pout.
I want to have her fold my ear
I want her home made (Ward's) cakee.
I want to play that game so dear
That she has christened Svakee.
Now of all the wants that I want best
And that want is not money,
I want the want that is thrice blessed
I want my sweetheart honey
There are many wants I'm longing for,
But I haven't the room nor time
So I'll close 'ere I become a bore
And keep wanting for the want divine.
