Moe Howard autograph letter signed "Lonesome & Devoted Daddy Dear" to his daughter Joan, likely from early 1936 based on content. On Mount Royal Hotel stationery from Montreal, Howard writes,

"Joan Darling: -- I hope you are well. I'm feeling fine and dandy. I feel awful to think that those boils and styes are bothering you again please don't rub your eyes or touch the boils with your fingers as that makes them spread more. Take care of yourself and do exactly as mother tells you to.

I received the cookies and they were delicious. I passed them around to all the acts and they told me to say 'Thank You' and that they tasted just lovely. I also saw the sweet saying you wrote on the inside of the box 'Sweets for the Sweet'. Thank you darling it was very sweet and thoughtful of you and I won't forget it. I'm very proud of you darling and I love you and miss you very much. How is my darling little Skipper. Are takeing [sic] good care of him. Don't let him walk too much or walk by himself. Be careful don't walk in the garage with him on account of spiders. Watch him always sweetie. And when he grows up he'll watch out for you and take you places and be nice to you. Give him a hug and kiss for me. Not on the mouth and tell him how much I love and miss him too. Be careful see he doesn't catch any boils or styes from you. Give my love to Billy and Carole.
