Mary Astor autograph letter signed, dated 25 December 1966 upon her personal stationery. Addressed to her agent Gloria Safier, letter is headlined ''Happy New Year!'' and reads in part: ''The cheese arrived -- it is huge and very delicious and I thank you big. I'm still feeling happy -- and sad -- over the deal. I wrote to See (very sentimental, I'm afraid!) and I told him I have been over twenty-five years of confidence in you, and you have always made sense. Somebody has to! Love, love and thank you again -- for the deal...'' Signed ''Mary'', letter on one page measures 6.25'' x 7''. Discoloration to top, otherwise near fine.
