The holy trifecta of ''Gone With the Wind'', a first edition, first printing signed by Margaret Mitchell, accompanied by the very rare first printing dust jacket. New York: The MacMillan Co., 1936, with ''May, 1936'' on the copyright page identifying the first printing. Elegantly signed ''Margaret Mitchell'' on the front free endpaper in black fountain pen, volume includes the very rare dust jacket - more rare than the book itself. Jacket shows ''Gone With the Wind'' in the right column, as called for, without any reviews of the book. Jacket is clipped at top front flap, but with $3.00 price intact at bottom, the original cost of the classic novel. Jacket is largely complete, but separated at seams and with a complete closed tear on spine. Also some dampstaining and chipping, overall in fair condition. Bound in grey cloth boards, book measures 6'' x 8.75'' and runs 1,037pp. Some dampstaining within and separation of backstrip from spine, resulting in cocking. Previous owner's signature in pencil to rear endpaper. Overall in good plus condition.
