Sterling silver box, made by Tiffany & Co. for the use of Lyndon B. Johnson while he was President, complete with engraved gilt Presidential seal and LBJ's engraved initials on top. Box was gifted by President Johnson to Frank G. Meyer, the Assistant Secretary of State under President Nixon, who was friends with President Johnson. Sterling silver box with a hinged lid opens to reveal a wood-lined interior. Box measures 4.25'' x 3.375'' x 1.625'' tall, with Tiffany maker's mark on the underside and Tiffany pattern number 23325. Also with engraved mark of Washington DC silversmith Galt & Bro. In near fine condition. Box is accompanied by an LOA from Frank G. Meyer's granddaughter.
