Lt. General George S. Patton, Jr. free frank cover signed from World War II, postmarked U.S. Army on 20 April 1943. Patton signs the lower left corner in fountain pen, ''Command / G S Patton Jr / Lt Gen.'' At this time, Patton had just been promoted to Lieutenant General and was commanding the Tunisia Campaign in north Africa. Cover measures 8.875'' x 3.875'', with ''Free'' handwritten at top right. Addressed to retired Brigadier General Beverly F. Browne, who served in WWI. Tears along top edge from opening, light creasing and toning. Very good condition.
