Lot of 25 press badges entitling wearers to press privileges at the Texas Welcome Dinner, the night of President Kennedy's assassination. The Austin event celebrating JFK's arrival was slated for 7:30 p.m. on 22 November 1963, and he was expected in attendance as the guest of honor. Black and gold passes with white print bear the event title and names of Mr. & Mrs. Kennedy and Johnson. Stamped with serial numbers. Encased in clear plastic with a pin fastened to verso; only one badge does not have a pin. Each measures 3.75'' x 2.25''. Near fine.
