Columbine High School 1999 yearbook, printed just prior to the 20 April 1999 massacre that would scar Columbine, Colorado permanently and usher in a decade of discussion on violence in America. The yearbook, vol. 29 of "Rebelations", makes no mention of the event and includes photos of the assailants, seniors Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, as well as many of their victims. Despite being a somber reminder of an unthinkable tragedy, the yearbook is an important memorial to the victims of the Columbine Massacre, as it depicts a vibrant community not destroyed by violence but rather filled with promise and compassion. 314 page hardcover yearbook, in red leather boards, measures 9.25" x 12", with minor shelf wear. An intended hole in the front cover reveals the owner's school photo underneath. Also includes numerous inscriptions to John (the yearbook's owner, then a sophomore) on endpapers and fly leaves, written prior to the shooting. Near fine condition.
