Signed from top to bottom, ''Ira H. Hayes / Iwo Jima Flag Raiser / (Survivor)'' and ''Rene A. Gagnon / Iwo Jima Flag Raiser / (Survivor)''. Postmarked from Washington DC on 11 July 1945. Envelope measures 6.5'' x 3.75'' with very minor toning, else near fine condition.
