Unique NASA medallion made of aluminum taken from Skylab, the first U.S. space station to orbit earth in the 1973-74 mission. Medallion is affixed to an official NASA Skylab Manned Flight Awareness Award reading in part: ''A portion of this metal in this medallion orbited the earth some 4100 revolutions, traveling over 111 million miles…'' Coin measures 1.5'' in diameter and depicts the space station with ''Skylab'' embossed on the coin. Framed to an overall size of 8.5'' x 11.25''. Minor toning to award; coin in near mint condition. Near fine.
