Dwight Eisenhower typed letter signed the year after his last in office. On his personal stationery he writes to David Marx, the toy manufacturer, in New York. Dated 4 October 1962, it reads: ''...As always I'm delighted with the gifts you sent, and I don't have to tell you how David will feel. The parrot arrived entact [sic] and will be put into operation at once. This fall has been so hectic and tiring that I can use a little fun - as you well understand. Thank you again from all the Eisenhowers...[signed] Ike''. 1pp. letter measures 7.25'' x 10.5''. Creasing, else near fine.
