Cal Abrams signed contract for the year 1948, dated 15 January 1948, with the Brooklyn National League Baseball Club, Inc. The contract states, "…the Club will pay…$600 (Six hundred per month)…" and "…Player is to receive 500.00 (five hundred dollars) for signing the contract…" The left-handed outfielder signs, "Calvin Abrams". Branch Rickey, Dodgers president, countersigns. Abrams stayed with the Dodgers until 1952. Four-page 8.5" x 11" card style contract is in very good condition.
