Judy Garland telegram, dated 24 June 1964, to Senator Ted Kennedy. It reads, ''My thoughts and heart are with you. I send my love and wishes for a quick recovery. We need you so much. / Judy Garland''. Kennedy was recuperating from injuries sustained in a private plane crash on 19 June. Garland, a close friend of the Kennedy family, often socialized with them and owned a home in Hyannis Port where they spent summers. The 6.5'' x 4.5'' Western Union telegram is stapled to an 8.5'' x 11'' sheet. Fine condition.
