The Apollo 13 crew signs the mat surrounding a 9.5'' x 7.5'' glossy photo of its splashdown in the South Pacific. Bound for the moon, the mission was sidelined by an explosion but the spacecraft returned safely to Earth. The three astronauts sign the 14'' x 11'' mat: ''James Lovell'', ''Jack Swigert'' and ''Fred W. Haise''. A handwritten caption reads, ''Apollo 13 Recovery - April 17, 1970''. Some fading to signatures and minor chipping to mat. Overall very good to near fine condition.
