WWII Japanese General Tomoyuki Yamashita twice signed Japanese 100 peso occupational note. He signs both sides in blue fountain pen. Provenance includes photos of Yamashita as a POW taken by the American MP assigned to guard Yamashita at a camp in the Philippines pending his execution for war crimes in 1946. This same MP obtained Yamashita's signatures and included is a newspaper article regarding the soldier and his guard duty at the camp. Circulated bill measures 6.25'' x 2.5''. Very good condition with minor creasing.
