First edition, first impression (with code ''P6'' printed in the gutter of page 199). Inscribed by Stephen King in black ink on the half-title page, ''For Tim - Be well, Stephen King / 6/24/88.'' In publisher's original maroon cloth with gilt spine titles and deckled fore-edge. With very minor shelf wear and new endpapers. Dustjacket is slightly rubbed with a tiny tear to the foot of the spine. A near fine copy of the author's breakout novel.
