Incredible display of all 37 signatories of the Declaration of Independence of the State of Israel, shown in four columns, exactly as the signatories penned their names upon the scroll 78 years ago. Signatures are matted with a 20'' x 16'' photograph from the official signing ceremony on 14 May 1948, capturing David Ben-Gurion reading the Declaration of Independence to the People's Council and invitees.
The full collection of all 37 signatories is extraordinarily rare, with the presentation here taking the viewer back to the birth of the State of Israel, an uncertain time that began just hours before the end of the British Mandate, but led by a determined group of men and women.
