Charles Addams original artwork published in ''The New Yorker'', humorously depicting a wayward Boy Scout tying a hangman's noose to the alarm of the Scout Master. Illustration is one of a limited number of Boy Scouts illustrations done by Addams, perhaps inspired by his time as art editor of ''Boy's Life'', the official magazine of the Boy Scouts of America. Rendered in ink and grisaille wash on a 15.125'' x 11.125'' sheet. Signed by Addams at lower right. Nicely preserved with only faint wear and toning. Near fine condition.
