Confederate General James Longstreet autograph letter signed. Dated 9 September 1861, letter to Colonel Thomas Jordan reads: ''...I herewith have the honor to enclose to you the Morning Report of the 4th Brigade / Very Respectfully...James Longstreet.'' The 4th Brigade, 1st Corp was part of the Army of the Potomac, six months before it became the Army of Northern Virginia. Single page with docketing to verso. Measures 7.75'' x 6''. Mounted to a paper border to an overall size of 8.25'' x 6.25. Pencil notations, toning and a crease, else near fine.
