Rare 1868 ticket to the Senate impeachment trial of Andrew Johnson, distinguished as the first impeachment of a sitting U.S. President. Full ticket with stub is for the session on 21 April 1868, shortly before Johnson was acquitted in the Senate by one vote of ''high crimes and misdemeanors'' after having been convicted in the U.S. House. Stub is stamped with No. 730. Ticket measures 4.875'' x 2.875'', with Philp & Solomons, Washington printer's mark at lower right. Stub has become detached from ticket but is still present. Light wear, overall in very good condition.
