Original screenplay for ''Planet of the Apes'', one of the classic films of the late 1960s. ''Final Revised Screenplay'' by screenwriter Michael Wilson is dated 18 April 1967, approximately one month before shooting began. The orange cover also reads, ''Confidential / Please do note reveal the contents of this script.'' Script has two revised pages on blue paper, one dated 4/20/67 and the other 4/24/67; the script ends with the famous pullback on the Statue of Liberty. Released in 1968, ''Planet of the Apes'' was a box office success and went on to win an Academy Award for its makeup design. Script measures 8.5'' x 11'' and runs 144 pages. Minor wear, overall very good.
