John F. Kennedy Jr. typed letter signed on ''George'' stationery, the political-entertainment hybrid magazine that he founded. Dated 22 June 1997, Kennedy writes to a Mr. Cox, signed in blue ballpoint, ''I greatly appreciate the photograph that you sent me. It was very thoughtful and it will have a place in my private collection.'' Accompanied by original ''George'' envelope postmarked 23 June. A copy of the original letter accompanies the lot, describing what appears to be a divine image of the eternal flame marking JFK's tomb. Letter measures 8.5'' x 11''.
