Dated 14 June 1966, Siegel writes in part, "Dear Mr. Maurer: Am the originator-writer of SUPERMAN, was working on SUPERMAN until just recently; have been doing some scripting for animated cartoon series. I recall your work from the comic book years ago. If you can use my scripting, etc. services in connection with any of your current or new projects, please advise…[signed] Jerry Siegel".
