Elmer Wachtel oil on canvas painting, measuring 18'' x 24'', framed to 26'' x 32''. Painting shows a snow-blanketed mountain, with a lake and trees in the foreground, emblematic of Wachtel's Pacific landscapes. Created circa 1900, painting was given by Wachtel to his nephew, the consignor's grandfather John V. Wachtel, Jr., and thence by descent to consignor, Elmer Wachtel's great grandnephew. Signed by Wachtel at lower right with his cipher. Some fading, overall very good. With an LOA from consignor, Bill Wachtel.
