Darwin writes to surgeon Sir William Bowman on 16 May (no year), ''My dear Bowman / I shall not be in London on Monday, but I have written to my Brother to ask him to aid you...Ch. Darwin''. Bifolium letter measures 4.875'' x 7.75'' as folded. Folds and light wear, overall in very good condition with bold handwriting. Accompanied by a 4.25'' x 6'' postcard photo of Darwin.
