Charles Darwin autograph letter signed, composed on Darwin's stationery, embossed with his Down, Beckenham, Kent address. Darwin writes to surgeon Sir William Bowman on 16 May (no year), ''My dear Bowman / I shall not be in London on Monday, but I have written to my Brother to ask him to aid you...Ch. Darwin''. Bifolium letter measures 4.875'' x 7.75'' as folded. Folds and light wear, overall in very good condition with bold handwriting. Accompanied by a 4.25'' x 6'' postcard photo of Darwin.
